Certified Phlebotomy Technician (CPT)

Certified Phlebotomy Technicians receive the skills needed to withdraw blood specimens from patients for clinical diagnostic purposes.  Phlebotomy technicians are often required to enter data in the lab computer as well as transport and prepare specimens for testing.  As technology advances, phlebotomy technicians are experiencing increased employment opportunities in hospitals, clinical laboratories, doctor offices, departments of health and other medical facilities.
