The Certified Patient Care Technician builds on the training and skills of the Certified Nurse Aide.  In addition to working in nursing homes, assisted living facilities, hospice, private duty and home care settings, Patient Care Technicians can seek employment in laboratories, hospitals, clinics, doctor offices, urgent care centers and emergency rooms.

 

Subjects include:

Students receive a combination of Advanced Nurse Aide, Phlebotomy and EKG coursework and lab skills.

Certification:

Students receive a combination of Advanced Nurse Aide, Phlebotomy and EKG coursework and lab skills.  Upon successful completion, graduates are eligible to take the National Healthcareer Association’s combined National Certification exam for Certified Patient Care Technician, Certified EKG Technician and Certified Phlebotomy Technician.
