Comprehensive Nursing Assistant
A comprehensive nursing assistant is a cross-trained health care
provider, prepared for a wide range of health care employment
opportunities. They are trained to work in environments such as
long-term care, home care, and hospice.
Our program is a combination of the following six certifications:
- Certified Nurse Aide (CNA)
- Certified Phlebotomy Technician (CPT)
- Certified EKG Technician (CET)
- Certified Patient Care Technician (CPCT)
- Certified Home Health Aide (CHHA)
- CPR/First Aid
The Comprehensive Nursing Assistant program also includes 30 hours of professional development. The
professional development portion teaches students the various
professional behaviors required of allied health professionals, as well
as the behaviors required to obtain and retain employment in today’s
competitive job market. Topics include, but are not limited to: resume
writing and interviewing skills, professional dress and demeanor,
interpersonal skills, conflict resolution, and professional
communication.
Schedule:
Monday-Friday 8 am - 2:30 pm
Length: 10 weeks
Total program hours: 300
Certification:
Master
the skills and information needed to pass the National Healthcareer
Association’s Certification exams.
Enrollment requirements:
- High school diploma or GED
- 17 years of age at the start of training
- No felony or misdemeanor convictions or current charges pending
- Pass a reading comprehension exam
