Energy auditors inspect buildings for inefficient heating and cooling technologies, lighting, windows, and insulation. Auditors make recommendations to upgrade the inefficient systems to demonstrate the savings value and tax incentives.
Jobs available:
The Weatherization program is 300 contact hours over 10 weeks, whichincludes classroom instruction, hands-on laboratory practice, andoff-site training. Graduates of the Energy Auditor program willreceive a certificate of completion from American Medical Careers GreenJobs Training division and have the knowledge and skills to obtain ajob in the emerging market of energy efficiency with a concentration in energy auditing.
Schedule:Monday-Friday 8-2:30 pm Total program hours: 300
Certification:All graduates of the Energy Auditor program will receivean American Medical Careers Green Jobs Training division certificate. A third party certification is recommended.
