Weatherization is the practice of modifying a building to reduce energy consumption and optimize energy efficiency. Administering air sealing, insulation, duct sealing, measuring indoor air quality, and basic mechanical system update are part of the weatherization process. The Weatherization program is an introductory program to the energy efficiency field.
Jobs available:
The Weatherization program is 300 contact hours over 10 weeks, which includes classroom instruction, hands-on laboratory practice, and off-site training. Graduates of the Weatherization Program will receive a certificate of completion from American Medical Careers Green Jobs Training division. You will achieve skills to obtain a job in the emerging market of energy efficiency with a concentration in weatherization.
Schedule:Monday-Friday 8-2:30 pm Total program hours: 300
Certification:All graduates of the Weatherization Technician program will receive an American Medical Careers Green Jobs Training division certificate. A third party certification is recommended.
